![]() My experience is that MR, when using the High Compression option, typically can compress the saved image file to about 50% of the USED space in the OS partition. Macrium Reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or entire drives: ġ) Download and install Macrium Reflect (MR)Ģ) Run MR and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition(s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB stickģ) Use the option to create a boot USB stick or CD I personally prefer to use third-party Recovery solutions as they tend to be both more flexible and more reliable than any built-in solutions. This is necessary because the Win10 Upgrade is know to corrupt the HP Recovery information - and that prevents you from doing a Rollback to the existing OS if the Upgrade fails or has other problems. if you want to experiment, then before you upgrade to Win10, take the time to make an image backup of your current setup so you have something to restore FROM. HP Instant it's running Win8.1 without issues, it should run Win10 also without issues as the drivers are very similar and generally work well under Win10.Business PCs, Workstations and Point of Sale Systems.Printer Wireless, Networking & Internet.DesignJet, Large Format Printers & Digital Press.Printing Errors or Lights & Stuck Print Jobs. ![]() Notebook Hardware and Upgrade Questions. ![]()
